They say that love is forever, your forever is all that I need. Please stay, as long as you need.
It had been a good day, surprisingly, for the girl; yes, she'd been a little bummed about waking up early, but, quite honestly, she didn't mind - it was one of her best friend's birthday, she wanted nothing more than to just be with her and be able to make her day memorable.
The morning had been spent surrounded by the people she was most comfortable with, laughing, joking, and simply letting go of everything that held her down; the afternoon, a therapy to her soul, as she sang with no fears, laughed with no tears, and simply existed.
The night... the night had been just as good, with unending attempts of getting Jack Barakat - one of the few people who never failed to make the girl smile whenever she was sad - to tweet Dannie - the birthday girl -, who was just as close as a twin would be to the girl, and afterwards they had just laughed at funny posts, watched some shitty show on TV, and play among the three of them.
The best was yet to come, though.
No matter how much she loved her friends, the girl always had that nagging feeling in her mind, that stupid fear that told her she wasn't worth anything more than a friendship from anyone, that the guy who'd claimed he liked her - and that the girl liked just as much, she had to admit - had only said so because he pitied her; she couldn't really shake it off, and it always managed to make her doubt herself, specially when the moon had already risen in the sky and had claimed the night as her own, because it was always by that time that the girl let go of the previous smiles, as she tried to fall asleep.
This night, though, she was sure that wouldn't happen.
From having tweeted their idol so much, the girl had hit tweet limit, and, well, boredom was doomed to fall upon her, if she didn't find anything to do soon. Out of habit, she went to check her Direct Messages, although there was no sign that there was a new one; stupid twitter had been wrong, and there was a really important thing left for her, in there.
Her eyes had widened considerably once she had noticed Lewis - the guy she liked, and couldn't stop thinking about, which was a bit scary - had tweeted her; specially after she had sent him the text she'd made for him, about everything she wanted, everything she feared.
She was ready to face some kind of disappoint reply, as in she was being pathetic and simply overreacting over everything, so she couldn't be more pleasantly surprised when his reply was shown, and a wide smile spread on her face, before she covered it with her hand.
She had no idea how to take the news; she was so damn happy she wanted to scream, dance, sing, and even cry from joy - which was ridiculous, quite honestly -, but she had to refrain herself from doing any of that, since it was way past midnight. One of her friends was in the same room as her, and she couldn't help but tell her about it, and watching the blonde girl's reaction - so happy for her -, only made her happiness increase; as soon as the birthday girl got back in the living room, she couldn't restrain herself, and told her too - same reaction, same amount of increase in glee.
She was clueless on how to reply, feeling all giddy and overall happy - which was new, she wasn't used to being this happy -, so she ended up with an awkward reply; awkward, joyful, simple but effective, she figured. But there was more, so much more, that she wanted the boy to know.
"This is crazy" she typed, glancing at her two friends, who were chatting calmly beside her. "It's crazy how much your simple, adorable words have improved my day, possibly my whole life" she continued, biting her bottom lip; was she really going to do this? "It's just... it feels good, to feel special; more so, to feel that special to the guy that you like."
She let a small smile occupy her face, listening to the song she'd put on play on her cellphone, letting the words sink in.
"You're just... you are amazing. You might be far from me, but, somehow, you're all I seem to think about, lately; and it's scary. It's really terrifying, because I fear this might end up badly, but, hell, am I really willing to give up because of a possibility? I really don't want to do that" she wrote, sighing softly.
"You, saying you want to know me, that you want to text me all night, it just... it's so much more than anyone has ever said. And the words «I really really like you» just go around in my head, in my heart, and make me feel like I'm on top of the world." She couldn't help but smile a little bit more, the words he'd said to her still making her feel like the most special girl in the world. "And I don't know why it happened, because we barely spoke of anything but our feelings, all along, but I really don't care; I really like you. I really, really do."
She had no idea where she was going with all of this, but she really didn't care; she just wanted to write, to let her feelings be known, so that there were no mistakes, no 'what if's.
"I was really bummed when I was told I couldn't go to Algarve, y'know? Because I was really looking forward to meeting you, to be with you, even if just for a day, a few hours; it was just something that kept me hoping for the future... When I got to know it wasn't possible to go there, I was quite sad, and, well, that night, I even dreamed of you; the first time..."
Maybe telling Lewis her dream would be a little too much, she figured, but she couldn't really care, right then; God, she was still flying with the stars, up in the sky.
"It was a really good dream... You... well, basically you'd found a way to come over where I live, and God, had it been perfect. We'd hugged, upon your arrival, and then we went around the city, hand in hand, talking - don't ask me what about, I can't even remember -, and I was really happy. You were smiling just as much as I was, and it was great. Then, we headed back to my place, and you left me by my door, finally kissing my lips... It was simply great, I swear; it was simple, soft, but perfect. And then you gave me a ring, and asked me to be yours" she let a small smile fill her face, once again. "Obviously, I said yes, and you said «this ring is to always remind you I've got you, no matter how far», which got me in tears; we kissed once again, and then I watched you go."
The girl sighed softly, as she remembered waking up that morning, and wishing it had been real; she knew he was most likely unable to do such thing, but a girl could dream, right?
"We just need to find a way... Honestly, I think this could work perfectly, if we just find a way" she said, looking at her friends, before letting her eyes wander back to the laptop screen.
Can't promise that things won't be broken, but I swear that I will never leave. Please stay forever with me.
